Another enjoyable instalment of the Falco novels, this time featuring the strange world of Roman religion, and the refreshing attitude the good old working class Romans had towards it!

This is yet another great book by Lindsey Davis in her Marcus Didius Falco series. I enjoy these books becaus eit bring ancient Rome alive and always involves a good mystery. In this book a little shows up at Falco's house and announces that someone is trying to killer her. Falco thinks she is making it up and sends her on her way. Then she turns up missing. This book has it all ancient Rome, Vestal Virgins, death penalties, and human sacrifice. Read to find out how Falco wades through all these problems in search of a little girl.
