Nasty "Was..." you nearly let me miss this!
I sniggered and I laughed - and yes, I am afraid it is true - I as my American friends would say "could SO identify myself" with Laurie Notaro.... I LOVED IT!
It may indeed, not set the world on fire, or educate anyone, but how reassuring that there are other people out there who are disasters looking for a place to happen.....
So a highly recommended - for those light moments in life, for easy reading and just for when you need a laugh with no stress involved!

Very funny Easy read, I got it in Florence and read it on a flight from Milan to Atlanta. A great distraction from airline food.
