Journal Entry 1 by Annadlx from Wiesbaden, Hessen Germany on Friday, February 23, 2007
High school art teacher Quinn McKenzie's life is perfectly normal--and it's making her insane. She's living with Bill, the nicest guy in Tibbett, Ohio, and he's crazy about her. Really crazy. Quinn is already having serious doubts about the future of their relationship when Fate intervenes, in the form of the scrawniest, squirmiest scrap of a dog you'd ever want to lay eyes on. She figures if the dog has the good sense to detest Bill on first sight, she ought to pay attention. And besides, there's Nick Ziegler, local mechanic and totally unsuitable love interest. Of course, that only makes Nick all the more appealing, not to mention his phenomenal aptitude between the sheets, and against the wall, and in the car, and... But getting rid of Bill is harder than Quinn ever expected. In fact, Bill was the last person she would have thought would try to hurt her. Thank God Nick is as capable with a two-by-four as he is with an automobile engine! Jennifer Crusie's second contemporary romance is a smash--literally! You'll laugh while you're tucking the covers around you a little tighter. -> new, therefore tbr.

Journal Entry 2 by Annadlx from Wiesbaden, Hessen Germany on Wednesday, April 18, 2007
this book is a fun read even though I have to say that it had a little too much. Too many lifes going through unsettling changes, too many weired situations that our heroine doesn't catch on to and too many of the male species that have the same problem of not understanding (their) women. Other than that I had fun reading it and enjoyed the fast paced conversations between the characters. I have to say that I couldn'T identify myself with the main female character as I sometimes can with these kinds of books. Well it worked, but not to my full liking. book is now available for trade.

this arrived from Germany yesterday, thanks so much! My TBR pile has increased dramatically, thanks to the terrific M-bag. If only I didn't have to do boring things like.. I don't know... work? Anyway, look forward to reading this Crusie. The cover is different on this edition.

Journal Entry 6 by penelopewanders at mail release in To a bookcrosser, A Trade -- Controlled Releases on Friday, August 31, 2007
Released 4 yrs ago (8/31/2007 UTC) at mail release in To a bookcrosser, A Trade -- Controlled Releases WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES: I read this one quickly as it wanted to travel to Washington state with the book selected from the Book obsessed VBB. So far I have yet to read a Crusie which I didn't enjoy. The characters are all very down to earth, and in this one the "bad guy", Bill, felt un-nervingly real to me. Even when the actual situation described is not funny at all (a stalker in action), Crusie's prose remains light and entertaining. A good read. Enjoy!
