Journal Entry 1 by chunniemonster from Colne, Lancashire United Kingdom on Wednesday, February 21, 2007
On a world supported on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown), a gleeful, explosive, wickedly eccentric expedition sets out. There's an avaricious but inept wizard, a naive tourist whose luggage moves on hundreds of dear little legs, dragons who only exist if you believe in them, and of course THE EDGE of the planet...

Parcelled up with a returned loan: thank you chunniemonster. I have avoided picking up several Discworld novels because I want to start at the beginning, so you could not have made a better choice.

Journal Entry 3 by Caterinaanna from Coventry, West Midlands United Kingdom on Tuesday, April 15, 2008
Much better this time round than the first time: when I read this before, I considered it far and away the weakest of the novels - and that was why it took me several attempts to get into it. However this time I enjoyed it much more - maybe because I am familiar with the Disc and its inhabitants. I have to confess this is a bit of a cheat because I actually started listening to the audiobook (3548186)first, but had a few problems with my equipment and found myself bouncing between the two versions. Since the in-car version was a complete reading, it was always easy to find my place and maybe the addition of Nigel Planer increased my enjoyment this time, who knows?

Picked up from the buffet table at the convention. It's made all the way back home to Spain. Thank's a lot CaterinaAnna. I really love Terry Prattchett. I already read the spanish translated version, so I know I'll enjoy it.
