I think I got this book off the shelf at mum and dads, it is a kids/YA fantasy fiction book. An easy read but very interesting to think that the characters can be read out of the book!

I wanted to enjoy this book much more than I actually did. I'm a big fan of good fantastical literature and had great hopes for this novel.

Although it started really well, with an interesting premise and some good characters, I found it began to drag for me nearer the end. Perhaps is was a problem with the translation, but at times the narrative became a bit mundane - and the whole thing could have done with some judicious editing.

Overall, an enjoyable enough read, but not a patch on the 'NeverEnding Story' or the 'Harry Potter' series.

This one is reserved for another bookcrosser in a land far, far away.......
