Hah, it took less than I expected.
I have to admit the style was getting on my nerves and I was ready to discard the book after 20 pages or so. But it gripped my attention so I read on. Overall, it's not what I'd expected when I first heard of it, but it's not bad. Just unusual. :)

Finally managed to get round to reading this after many bookrings, exams, life in general lol!
I didn't dislike this book, but I'm not sure that I liked it either!. Although it was easy to read, there were too many unanswered questions for me. I felt that the whole vagueness surrounding Amber and her sudden position within the family was a little too much to be believeable. I would have liked to have known more about her other than the fact that she was born in a cinema! I also wasn't overly struck by any of the characters who made up the family. I felt that it was sort of sad for a total stranger to have to come into a family for them to get to grips with their individual issues - although she probably brought them to light as opposed to causing them, as the family seem to think. Overall I'm still glad that I read the book - it wasn't bad, just a bit strange!
