What a fantastic book! Once I got going it was hard to put down and for good reason. It's shocking, inspiring, funny, etc... And the fact that this is a true story just makes it all that more fascinating. I found out last week that the owner of my company and one of the business managers had the opportunity to meet him recently at a black business meeting was just... *swoon*

I know this isn't much of a description but I honestly don't want to give anything away. Mr. Gardner doesn't sugar coat his life, his trials and tribulations, his success and failures. This is a story that will remind you that there are some things in life worth working for.

I haven't seen the movie yet though it's on my Netflix list.

Contacting Red-Ram now.
