RELEASE NOTES:
Off to Arizona!
received in the mail from flambard of Horsham, West Sussex, UK with three other Jill Mansell books.
Thank you, flambard. I shall enjoy reading this book.
Another enjoyable book by Jill Mansell. There were a couple interesting plot twists in this book. First, there were the two childhood friends, Kate and Maddy who split up after Kate went to an exclusive private school and became obnoxious to her working class friend. Kate was always attractive but Maddy went through a very awkward stage with glasses and braces. Kate has been disfigured in a car accident and is returning home. Meanwhile, Maddy has bloomed into a very attractive young woman. The second plot twist concerns Maddy who is falling for Kerr who is the brother of the man who killed Maddy's sister in a car accident. Maddy's mother will have nothing to do with Kerr's family. There are many other characters with their own stories throughout the book. All in all, this book is an enjoyable read with more serious issues such as friendship, prejudice, forgiveness, and respect interwoven into the plot.

Received few days ago. Thank you.
I have this book! It arrived today, and it truly was a big surprise... I didn't count on it showing up anytime soon. Thank you, bibounde! :-)
Thank you for the bookray, tabby-cat-owner!
It might take a little while until I get to this, given that I am currently reading another of tabby-cat-owner's Jill Mansell bookrays :-)
I really enjoyed this book! Whatever there is that Jill Mansell writes about, it always turns out to be a lovely and light story with some great twists within and especially in the end of the story. I love it that there are always all the people entangled with each other in one way or another. Thanks a lot for including me in this bookray!

Off to the next reader... enjoy!!
Yay! A Mansell!! I LOVE these books. It's been a while since I had one of these chickie books.
Thank you tabby cat owner for feeding me all of these fun books.
Looking forward to reading this.
After The Road, I totally needed some light reading. This was perfect. I love this author. She uses an interesting technique where she has 3 stories going on simultaneously. They usually connect at some point and most of the people are associated with each other. She has humor, suspense and of course, drama. There were some parts of this book where I thought “OK that would never happen”. But, for the most part, I really enjoyed this book. The story takes place in Ashcombe, UK. Maddy meets this guy at a party in the dark, without her glasses. She finds him very attractive but doesn’t really know who he is until she sees him that week in the daylight, with her glasses. She’s doomed. She really likes him, but knows she can’t have him. A childhood friend comes back to town with scars on her face. Love, children, families, relationships all part of the Mansell recipe for a fun read. There hasn’t been a Mansell book I didn’t like.
