I got this through Bookmooch! It looks like it could be the start of another good series...will have to see what this first book is like though before I decide if I want to read any of the others.

I totally enjoyed this first book and when I got to page 200 or so I actually went onto Amazon and ordered the next 2 in the series. It seems there is a new book coming out every month for the next few months! Great!! Why don't all the good authors do this???

Anyway this was real good. Sometimes the sex aspect annoyed me but after a while you just accept the fact that it is a part of the way of living in this world that you are reading about. It also has alot to do with the storyline as well.

I liked the characters and the plot kept me guessing till the end. I can't wait to see how things develop and it was great to have a book based in Australia as I am getting a bit fed up of always reading things set in the States.

And guess where it ended now, lmao!!

looking forward to it. I was in ABC in amsterdam and I picked it up a few times but I did know it was on the way so I resisted. Looking forward to it.

Riley Jensen lives in a world a lot like our own only Vampires and Werewolves and other supernaturals are public and policed by their own organisation. Riley is more werewolf than vampire and as her twin brother, Rhoan is more vampire than werewolf they hide their relationship. The two of them have been thrown out of their home pack and aren't doing a bad job of keeping themselves alive outside of it, however it leaves them with few they can trust.
When Rhoan goes missing, Riley has to get involved, but it's near the full moon and her need to mate has become all-consuming, indeed it's getting in the way of her doing anything else. She's caught between a posessive werewolf and an attractive Vampire, and everyone has ulterior motives.

The sex felt like a bit much and after a while I felt like asking when they were going to get to the point and actually progress the plot. While I won't rush out to find the remainder of the series, I will eventually get around to it, and hopefully it will get better.

It was a little strange reading a book set in the same city where I live, and I did find the beginning a little slow, but the plot quickly picked up and kept me interested.

Having read a lot of Sherrilyn Kenyon and Laurell K Hamilton books, unlike some of the other readers, to me the sex didn't appear to be the main focus of the book, but rather a sub-plot.

I will definitely look at reading the rest of the series to find out how the story continues to unfold.
