A fascinating, tragic tale. I read this book and set it free years ago, and it just returned home after a pre-BookCrossing journey. I'll give it a BCID before sending it out again.
Reserved as a RABCK for Avanta7.
Off in the post yesterday; a short trip by BookCrossing standards!
A gift from a stranger! Albeit one who lives relatively near me. Thank you so much, FeralReader. The book is now perched precariously on Mt. TBR, and will be gotten to as soon as humanly possible.
What an absorbing story! I started this last night and finished it this afternoon, after banishing my husband to the back of the house under a serious admonition of "Do Not Disturb The Reading Spouse".
In my work, I see many Hmong in a medical/social services capacity, and this book certainly helps explain why we have such trouble communicating with each other. The things I've learned here will, I hope, help me deliver services in a more effective fashion.
Thank you, FeralReader, for sharing this book. I'll find a good place to free it in the near future.

I've heard wonderful things about this book, it was a thrill to find it on the pile today.
