The Gun Seller
6 journalers for this copy...
from amazon:
If you're selling vacuum cleaners, then your job is easy. But when you have a prototype military helicopter, capable of 500 miles an hour and 1000 corpses a minute to sell, the job calls for a penniless, achingly single, 35-year-old ex-army officer with little self-respect.

Arrived some time during the Christmas holidays - thanks for sending on to me, rahar109, and for organising the new ring and to samulli for the original ring :-) It's next on my ring pile.
Journal Entry 5 by sudokugirl from Sarajevo, Sarajevo Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday, January 22, 2008
Wasn't expecting this one so soon, but the timing is perfect: I've just finished a bookring and was wondering what to read next. Thanks for the speedy shipping, WelshHelen.
Journal Entry 6 by sudokugirl from Sarajevo, Sarajevo Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday, January 28, 2008
This book is very entertaining and a much better read than I expected when first signing up for a book written by an actor (even though that actor is the fantastic Hugh Laurie). Thank you for sharing, rahar109 and thanks to samulli for organizing this ray.
I have boagat's address and will mail the book this week.

The book arrived already a few weeks ago while we packed to move and I forgot about it. I found it yesterday while unpacking one of the last boxes. Sorry about the delay. I'll try not to keep it that much longer.
Edit: very funny
My favorite sentence: "Democrats don‘t read books" ;-))
And Globus is laundering money for terrorists? I guess, I have to talk to my husband about his employer... ;-)

Well...
If Dr. House ever wrote a novel, it would be like this one.
Curiously, this was written years before Hugh Laurie jumped to U.S.A. and stardom...
And also curiously, I kept on reading because I loved the style and the humour (please don't miss the analogies between sex and cars), better than the plot (I must confess I got a bit lost at times...)
Having said this, thanks for this chance to read it!
Ir will soon be on its way to LeishaCamden, in Norway...
