As we leave the 20th century, the cruelest in human history, the author's imagination tells us that even worse things can happen. The author's tale do not offer confidence.

It sort of scares me that a writer who is also a cheerleader and a "Disney performer" would have these sorts of stories in her head. On the jacket it says that a lot of these are derived from her nightmares... which I can tell. They have the foggy quality that dreams have. With that, these stories are not really fleshed out. The jacket also says "these stories could have been written by an eerie Kafka or Dosteyevsky". Um, I don't think so.

Recieved as part of a trade (thanks cinnycat), the title really grabbed my attention. I have to say that the previous journal entries made me inquisitive about the stories as well.

First off I have to apologize for the length of time I have had this book and not done anything with it. So, with that said I must say this was definitely a interesting read. I was a tad disappointed with the lack of depth into "Morbid Fairy Tales" as I had hoped, hence the low rating.

I will be sending on as a surprise! I hope the next reader enjoys it.

This was such a wonderful surprise, I can't express in words. I was a little upset actually that I never won this in your 'Pick my next book RABCK' and I found that I couldn't stop thinking about it. I did not expect this at all so thank you so much Shann24lvr.
Also for the postcard, my idol Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless) was born there & I think she has a house there too. I will add it to my collection (:

An interesting little book. I agree how it wasn't very well fleshed out, the stories are VERY short. It reminded me a lot of the tv show Black Mirror.

Wonderful ideas though. The end one really got to me. Wonder where this will go next ^^
