South African novel of a group of anti apartheid activists, dealing with issues of committment and betrayal. Written in 1969 it is a bit dated, but a good reminder of how far we have come. And in some ways, with the emphasis on the interaction between members of the group it becomes applicable to any area where people must deal with violence and oppression.
