In this one, Falco goes to Germany. Falco is a Sam Spade type detective, an imformant to be exact, in ancient rome. Try as he might, he just can't stay out of trouble.

Fellow BookCrosser cornelia sent this book to me. Am looking forward to reading it as I have enjoyed other Falco books by Lindsey Davis. Will put it on the top of the to be read pile. Thanks Cornelia!
I really enjoyed this book. Of the Lindsey Davis books I have read, it is easily the best. She reaches a good balance between providing detailed information about Roman history and society and developing and advancing the storyline. Worthwhile and fun read, especially if you like historical fiction.
Thanks for trading Cornelia. Sorry it has taken me so long to review it.
Will either be passing this on to another bookcrosser or releasing it. Will post details later.
