Late in his life Gordianus the FInder, getting into debt like many other romans, has Cassandra the seeress fall into his arms and die.

The book tells of his investigation, mixed with flashbacks to the different times he met Cassandra, and which all leads to finding her killer.

This is not the first Saylor book I've read, but read several Robert Harris books inbetween, where they are based around the same time but focussing on Cicero. I now dont know who I prefer - Harris or Saylor as each time I read one, I look back favourably on the other.

This an enjoyable book, in a different (I wont say better) style than Harris

This arrived at the Bookcrossing stall at Moseley Festival last Saturday. Not sure how it got there! It wasn't taken, so is now with me pending a future release.
