When the administrative head of the Steen Psychiatric Clinic is found dead with a chisel in her heart, Superintendent Adam Dalgliesh of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate. Dalgliesh must analyze the deep-seated anxieties and thwarted desires of patients and staff alike to determine which of their unresolved conflicts resulted in murder.

Received the book today. boagat has already asked for my address so I guess Cover her face is going to arrive pretty soon and I'll start reading the two Dalgliesh mysteries.

Thanks a lot!

Another very enjoyable novel by P.D. James. Unlike Cover her Face this book begins with the murder, introducing the suspects and the surroundings after the actual deed. Again, I thought this was a very well-written mystery. The poor editing is a bit of a nuisance - like in the other book there are numerous mistakes - but that, of course, is to blame on the publisher rather than the author.

Thanks a lot for this bookring! It will travel on to haley79 next week together with Cover her Face.

Arrived here today, and I cannot wait to start reading ;-)

Thank you, sintra!

Finally I finished 'A mind to murder'. Just like all other books by P.D. James that I have read, this crime novel draws an intriguing picture of human character, of inspector, murderer and suspects alike. And it is most tantalising until the very end.

It might not appear like that, considering the time it took me to finish the book, but I devoured this book. It is a great murder mystery!

Ups that's been me; forgot to log in...

Well, anyway, this book will be travelling on to nuriayasmin now. Sorry for the delay!

Has arrived here today. Thanks.

I enjoyed reading this novel. Very well-defined characters and a convincing end.

Gestern mit der Post angekommen-Danke!

This mystery is a little bit faster than 'Cover her face',there is not so much humor
in the story, but it is a good read all right!

21.09.07 Jetzt habe ich rotewoelfin's Adresse und der Doppelring reist weiter!

I forgot this book at my friends flat, so it took me longer than expected to finish it! I really enjoyed reading this book - it was the first time I read P.D. James. A calm and unspectacular book, reminded me of Columbo :) I'm really looking forward for the second book!

Going to travel to the next reader as soon as possible :)

Starting its travel to Jessi tomorrow :)

Journal Entry 13 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Thursday, November 22, 2007
The book arrived today. Thank you!
I have to read 2 other rings before this one.

EDIT 11.12.: This one seems to be the second book, so I'll wait for "Cover Her Face" to read it first. I'm next on that list, so it shouldn't take too long...

Journal Entry 14 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Monday, June 30, 2008
Sorry that the book was with me for so long. But I really wanted to read the series in order...
After the first book finally arrived and I started reading it, I found out, that I don't like it. Probably I don't like classic myteries. I haven't tried so many of those yet, so it's just aguess, why I don't like the book. Well, anyway, as I didn't like the first book, this one will be sent on now without reading.

Edit 24.7.: Somipago möchte nicht mehr, weil sie so viel zu lesen hat.
