This was quite good fun. I like books like this which are about a whole range of peope and the things that are going on in their lives. It was similar in style to "Spencer's List" by the same author, but the people and story were totally different.

This book was indeed a lot of fun, with warm, likeable characters (except for Crispin, the snobby, bullying doctor, but his character was the funniest).

Really enjoyed it, it was funny and gentle and I loved all the characters, even the pompous Crispin! For some reason I imagined Almond (Armand) to look and sound like Moss from the IT crowd, and Crispin like the boss. Lending to my boyfriend and his sister next.

Trying hard not to pick up anything at the monthly meetup because I have too many books but this was going to be left. Sounds like it will be fun.
I'm lending this book to a friend to take on holiday. As I haven't read it myself yet, I fully expect to get it back but I'm doing release notes just in case. So for now it is off to enjoy itself on a Mediterranean cruise.
