Playful Parenting

I liked this book a lot.
The writer is a play therapist and a father and I really got the feeling that he knows what he is writing about.
The book explains many simple ways of solving everyday problems with kids and helping children handle difficult emotions. The key word is play. The basic theory is that usually kids just know what they need to get over something or to handle a difficult situation and they include this thing in their plays. Cohen gives many good pointers on how adults can help kids with this huge task, how to guide a child to the right play and how to guide them out of the wrong kind of play (if they get stuck with a certain theme and don't show any progress).
What I kept thinking is that many adults would also benefit from play therapy.
This book is a part of my permanent collection, but I'm willing to lend it to local bookcrossers.
