The Player: Necromance-for-hire Dante Valentine is choosy about her jobs. Hot-tempered and with nerves of steel, she can raise the dead like nobody's buisness. But one rainy Monday morning, everything goes straight to hell.
The Score: The Devil hires Dante to eliminate a renegade demon: Vardimal Santino. In return, he will let her live. It's an offer she can't refuse.
The Catch: How do you kill something that can't die?
Ok, I have read both books and have enjoyed them to my surprise. Let me just say that I wish I had known there was a dictionary of terms in the back of the second book, Dead Man Rising. Things would have made more sense to me, if I had known that. So be forewarned to go over the definitions BEFORE you start reading the books. It will make things much clearer to you as the reader.

Arrived today - will start reading it this week.
I finished this book today. I enjoyed it very much - great characters and an exciting plot. I especially liked the relationships between Danny and her friends.
I've started the second book and should be able to mail both books in a week.

Both books arrived safely. I'm in the middle of the other ring books already in house, so I should be able to start these 2 early next week. Thanks to Shawna for sharing and everyone else for passing it along.
Finished this one and I'm starting the 2nd. I have to say I was crushed with how this one worked out, but I really enjoyed the story. It's a unique world and I managed to forget MapleFlowers' note about the glossary. I definitely like Danny, but that could be because of the similarities in personality, considering I can be a tough pill to swallow at times. :D
