I will read before I start A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket book spiral.

The books are quick reads and written such that both adults and children can enjoy.

From Our Editors
The only thing more depressing than this lamentable series is the realization that it is ending. Like the vague pain of an untreated toothache, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events had come to be a familiar part of our daily existence. We had even grown to relish the discomforts of the Baudelaire orphans as they coped, often inadequately, with the devious machinations of Count Olaf. It is true that we should have been better prepared for the series' terminus: The author himself had suggested repeatedly that we seek more pleasurable avenues of reading. But no, we plodded on, soaking up the sorrow and pity of the series like large, sodden sponges. And now it is over. What other misery can life offer?

From the Publisher
Dear Reader,
You are presumably looking at the back of this book, or the end of THE END. The end of THE END is the best place to begin THE END, because if you read THE END from the beginning of the beginning of THE END to the end of the end of THE END, you will arrive at the end of the end of your rope.

This book is the last in A Series of Unfortunate Events, and even if you braved the previous twelve volumes, you probably can't stand such unpleasantries as a fearsome storm, a suspicious beverage, a herd of wild sheep, an enormous bird cage, and a truly haunting secret about the Baudelaire parents.

It has been my solemn occupation to complete the history of the Baudelaire orphans, and at last I am finished. You likely have some other occupation, so if I were you I would drop this book at once, so THE END does not finish you.

With all due respect,
Lemony Snicket

Many of the secret that the Baudelaire's have been trying to solve get cleared up and they learn many truths about themselves and Count Olaf.

I think the best part is Chapter 14.

It's very doubtful that this is going to get read anytime soon, so it's probably better to keep it moving. I've tried to read it a couple of times but lose interest after about the first 20 pages. I do thank you for the opportunity to read it though. This is going out in the mail to heartsong2 this afternoon.

Arrived today! I wasn't expecting to get #13 already. We've only read up to #8 at this pont, so I've got to figure out where 9-12 are! We hope to wait to read this one until we've read the others.

I finally reached the end of The End! I quite enjoyed this book, and found it was definitely better than #12, my least favorite. What a crazy series!

My son's reading #5 of Harry Potter. I will tell him he needs to read this promptly. I think he's hesitant to read it due to not wanting to end it!

Thank you so much for sharing these!

It was weird when Count Olaf kissed Kit. For an ending, it wasn't what I expected. I liked it though.

Thank you for sharing these! What a marathon! Will post along to missprisy this week!

This book has washed ashore at the Lost Book Island after not being heard from for many months. This new arrival will be shown to a room and be allowed a bit of rest before being introduced to the many fun things to do here at the island.

All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy.

It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.

Received this in the mail from the very thoughtful NMReader. I picked this up from the post office in VA just before heading out of town on business. Now I'm back and setting it aside for the By the Numbers Challenge.

I have most of this series already on my TBR pile, though I don't have this one. I doubt I'll get through the series before March so I'm tempted to keep this one to read.

Are you sure you want to delete this item? It cannot be undone.
