Picked up for $1.50 at the Salvation Army on West Broadway, while Mr. Goatgrrl was at the dentist. It took me ages to get through this book, but I'm not sure if this reflects the quality of the novel so much as my state of mind while reading it (somewhat distracted). Tells the story of a thirty-something year old New Yorker who returns to her Michigan family home for a fairly gothic Christmas with her lawyer father, alcoholic mother and bi-polar brother.
