The Sunday Philosophy Club
2 journalers for this copy...
What a disappointment this book was. The 'whodunnit' plot is too flimsy to support a whole novel, the storytelling is ploddingly slow and the characters are too uninteresting to care about. Isabel Dalhousie just came across as a boring old spinster and I was surprised that she was still only in her forties. The philosophical theme became tedious after a while and I admit I skipped entire pages of Isabel's rambling thoughts.
Lots of others have enjoyed it... so do give it a go.
