I loved the first book so it was an easy task to buy the second novel in the series. I am savouring it for a moment when I really want to cheer myself up!

8 out of 10

Tremendous fun though I enjoyed this slightly less than Flashman. The book is gloriously politically incorrect and is very funny. In this adventure, Flashy is impersonating a Danish prince to help Bismarck in his fiendish plot to create a unified Germany. Along the way he shares a romp or two with Lola Montez. Great stuff indeed!

I will release this book into the wild, somewhere...
