Journal Entry 1 by iMart from Unknown, somewhere in Tokyo / 不明、東京のどこか, Tokyo-to Japan on Monday, December 18, 2006
Senator Obama combines in his second book very compelling personal stories that possess an original and genuine voice and are very insightful and a joy to read, with excruciatingly didactic stump speeches (about the Hamiltonian vs the Jeffersonian republic or an incredibly simplified overview of the history of US foreign policy last century). All in all though, I thought this book helps shed some light on the positions of the honorable gentleman from Illinois. Reading it left me feeling that Senator Obama may not yet have what it takes to become president, but also convinced that here's someone with constructive ideas that are worthy of the attention of the American public.

Journal Entry 3 by GVFool from Sagamihara / 相模原市, Kanagawa-ken Japan on Tuesday, January 16, 2007
Senator Obama may or may not have what it takes to become the next President of the United States, but reading this book gives you the impression that he's spent a lot more time thinking about what that job entails than the current occupant of that office.
