Hardcover. 311 pages.This book about flying children is the sequel to When the Wind Blows. I haven't read the first one, and I was going to hold off on this book until I had but it was kicking around in the dining room and I just ended up reading it anyway. I don't think you need to have read the first one to read this book. The author says "It surprises some readers that When the Wind Blows is my most sucessful novel around the world. Who knows why for sure, but I suspect it's because an awful lot of people, myself included, have a recurring fantasy in which fly." I'm not surprised that he wrote the sequel if the first did so well, though I didn't know that fact, I would have expected it to be one of his mysteries.

Found at Gleaners Secondhand shop in Creston BC today. Rescued it from the free pile and will set off on its journey soon.
