Journal Entry 8 by Olifant from Porthmadog, Wales United Kingdom on Sunday, April 29, 2007
Heerlijk boekje. Wijze, mooie oude verhalen. Ik herkende het verhaal van de strijd van twee moeders om een kind (Salomon's oordeel) uit de bijbel. Een andere favoriet: The Merchant who would not go to heaven. Uit de The Saint and the Scorpion: 'But he was only following his dharma, his nature. It is the dharma of a scorpion to sting, and it is the dharma of a saint to save its life. He is following his dharma and I am following mine. Everything is in its proper place. That is why I am so happy.' Boek gaat dinsdag naar rapturina.

Loved these stories! I read the book on a long train ride and must say I was quite unhappy I finished them so soon (even though I had another book on me :D), it was such an enjoyable book and it gives you a few things to think about. My favourite story was "The Secret Formula". EDIT: On its way to mefeather as of July 18th!
