Thank you Inver! Book arrived today. Look forward to reading it, but I have a pile of ring books to go first, so it will take a while. This is one of the favourite authors of one of my friends. She recommended this book too!
I finally got round to reading this book, thanks to iiwi's challenge to read the oldest registered book on my shelf. I enjoyed it very much. Never read a Pilcher before, but I think I saw one of the books as a tv series.
I love how she describes everyone in their own chapter, going through history in no particular order. It did not make me loose track. I did skip a few chapters and finish the book, but then went back to read them. ;-) I will look out for her other books.

Happy reading!
Picked this up at OBCZ Westerpark today (my first visit to an OBCZ in Amsterdam). Couldn't resist taking this one with me as I have been wanting to read the book, having heard good things about it. Will be my first book by this author. Oh and there was a bookcrossing postcard inside the book still - such a lovely find :)
