I read the first two parts of the trilogy earlier this year. Having got TurquoiseFloyd into the series too, we're going to start reading this one today!

Looking forward to it since I can't imagine what it's going to be about; I felt the story was all told by the end of the second one!

Oh dear, I finished this weeks and weeks ago, but was so disappointed I couldn’t be bothered to think what to say about it :-(

It was easy enough to read, and fairly quickly at that, mainly because I was hoping that the story was going to suddenly make it worthwhile. But in the end I don’t feel it adds anything to the trilogy; there’s a lot of going over the same ground, and not much fresh story. I think that Brewer should have combined the second and third parts of K-PAX.

{TurquoiseFloyd tells me that Brewer is writing a fourth book on K-PAX... hmmmm!)

Not much else I can say, without adding spoilers. Oh, except that there are some praising reviews on Amazon UK, so if you’ve read the first two parts, go ahead and give this a go!

TurquoiseFloyd has offered a bookring of the full trilogy. She's also had requests for number III only, so I'm helping out there!

Received in the post today - thank you! As arranged, I shall pass to Vauxhallcrosser once I've read it.

I enjoyed this one, a lot more than you by the look of it! I'm not sure if that's partly to do with the length of time since I read the previous two.

I think one of the reasons these books appeal to me so much (apart from the very human subject, by which I don't mean prot, but mental illness and people in general) is the detective or mystery side of the story, not only the 'what is prot' question (which I found was left a little too unambiguous for my tastes!) but also for each of the patients he encounters and helps; what caused them to be like they are, and what will help them? Maybe I'm a closet psychiatrist!

I'll keep hold of this until I next see VauxhallCrosser, which will be at the Tuesday meet if not before.

Thanks Pakasanelly!

Thank you for the book WistfulDragon. I have just sent my copies of 1 and 2 out in my NSSESB package so I'll contact the recipient of that to see if she would like a read if that's ok with the book's original owner. I'll post another JE when I've read it.
Thanks Paksanelly !
