This is far too new for me to have read, but I love Wendy Holden's puns so I picked it from the wishlist of my NSSFC partner sure it was something s/he would like...

Thank you my not so secret santa - I have only opened up the book shaped parcel so the others will wait till Xmas day.. and I will pass this back to you afterwards so you can read too.

Wendy Holden is now married with two children. Perhaps this explains her move from the more chick lit novel to those including young children (the wives of bath and this). The move is slightly older, less cynical / sarcastic than the bad heir day type novel.

Easy, quick read, will take along to Saturday’s meet and see if Caterina-Anna would like to read it.

RELEASE NOTES:

Passing to Caterina-Anna.

Oops! Sorry beckydore, forgot to do JEs when I got home yesterday.

What do they say about buying Christmas presents one would like oneself? Isn't it great that this way we *do* get to have them having given them away?

This isn't the quickest return though: one from one of my parcels went back to the giver on Friday (The Lady Tree)...

Easy & fun read.
Melodramatic near-ending, but with this sort of book, who cares?
The psychobabble spouted by the marriage doctor is hilarious and oh too credible, even if some of the activities at the school aren't.

Am off to search wish lists to see who I can post this to.

Many thanks for this surprise RABCK, which I picked up from Herrgirl today (she did say she was due to give it to me at the last meet up, but it was cancelled due to the snow we had)!

Many thanks, I can't wait to read it!

Katybean - have crossed it off my wishlist!!!

I thought this was a fun, if a bit far fetched read! I also think some of the subjects taught at the school were a bit odd too LOL, and the fact that the butler had a connection at the end a bit bizarre!

I'm glad I read it, and look forward to reading other Wendy Holden books on my shelf!

This was the first Wendy Holden I've read and good harmless fun - like pothers have said, the link with the butler at the end was very silly and some of the lessons at the school were somewhat implausible but I wish it really existed, I'd certainly send my husband!

As this is such a nice new hardback I'll make sure it goes on to someone else - might be going to Wendover at the weekend so it may end up there.

Not sure why I didn't journal at the time but this was my offering in one of the book swaps we did at the Wendover meet .... and typically it was katybean who chose it! She did manage to get something else eventually though - not sure who ended up with this one ...
