Thanks for the recommendation and the book - I am sure I will find it interesting, especially as it includes a library, even if it is called 'a cemetary for forgotten books'...intriguing

From the back of the book:
' Hidden in the heart of the old city of Barcelona is the 'Cemetery of Forgotten Books', a labyrinthine library of obscure and forgotten titles. To this library a man brings his ten year old son, Daniel, one cold morning in 1945. Daniel is allowed to chose one book and from the dusty shelves pulls 'The Shadow of the wind' by Julian Carax. But as Daniel grows up, several people seem inordinately interested in his find. What begins as a case of literary curiosity turns into a race to find out the truth behind the life and death of Julian Carax and to save those he left behind.'

Tis was a very interesting book that was difficult to put down, with many twists and turns and bait of parallel living!

Sorry it took so long to get to.

Passed on to me by my mum while I was home for Christmas. I've wanted to read this for ages! :)

I’ve wanted to read this for years, and it really was worth the wait. A gripping story with lots of unexpected twists, and although I did manage to guess one of them, others completely surprised me! A masterpiece.
Will pass it on to other teachers at school.
