My favourite Bill Bryson book. A light hearted exploration of the English language. I read it a while ago but remember my highlights as being his discussion over whether there's anything wrong with the split infinitive and the chapter on names.
Received in the post, thank you very much! Am hoping this will be useful for the TEFL course I'm doing later this year. Also, Bill Bryson is the person at Durham who hands out our degrees at graduation ceremonies, so am looking forward to meeting the man himself!
