I had been a big fan of this author, however, I thought this book was rather light and instead of a historical novel as in the past, I found a political statement. A bit disappointing for me, but not enough to keep me from reading another of Mr. Uris' books.
Exodus, QBVII, Topaz are other books from this author that are all much better.
