Got this one at a thrift store. . . I hope it will live up to the reviews!

After all of the great things that I had heard about this book I was really disappointed that I couldn’t get into it. I just couldn’t relate to the characters and really don’t care about fashion. I hope someone else will enjoy this.

This book was an okay read; I haven't seen the movie, but I imagine the story would unfold better on film than it does on paper. I found the book to be kind of a tiring read: the never-ending stress the main character constantly endures, along with the frenzied nature of her job got to me after awhile. However, it's a very popular book, so I guess I'm in the minority!

As of today I am loaning the book to my 80+-year-old neighbor, Evelyn (who lives across the street), for her to read. I don't know what will become of it - her house is like one big sucking book magnet "black hole," where more of my books have been lost than I am able to count! Oh, well. If it gives her joy, that's what counts!
