I found this in a used-book store. One of the review excerpts on the back cover says "Tish McWhinny is Miss Marple without the cuteness..."
Miss Marple was never cute. This Tish McWhinny character tries to be, so that reviewer got it way wrong. The Miss Marple mysteries are absorbing and well-written. This book is a piece of garbage. Badly written, clumsy, ill-formed. I give it four stars because at least the plot is consistent.
