Cassandra 'Cassie' Knight had always wanted to be a DJ. Her dream came true at WKDY in Baltimore, Maryland. Cassie led a double life. During the day Cassie was a brunette holding a part time job at a fitness club. From midnight until 4 a.m. she was blonde Sondra Lane, The Voice in the Night, with the sexy voice that enticed her audience. Sondra had a way that enthralled everyone who listened to her show, be they male OR female. As Sondra, Cassie was able to keep her private life just that — private. .............. Nathan 'Nate' Taylor wrote an advice column for Baltimore Today. After hearing Sondra's show, he wrote an article about her that hit the front page. His editor told Nate that if he could get an interview with Sondra before any other reporter, he would get a promotion. But Sondra was elusive and would not grant interviews to anyone. To get close, Nate wore a disguise, acquired a phoney French accent, and moonlighted as a cab driver.
