Another duplicate.
Sue Grafton is working through the alphabet and this is her most recent.

Recommended.
I have read one of hers and found it a good page turner.

Journal Entry 3 by beckydore from Torpoint, Cornwall United Kingdom on Sunday, November 12, 2006
After finishing R is for Richochet last week, and being told by Solihull libraries that all 6 copies (one at each library) are out on load, I was so happy yesterday to hear that a copy was being released at the meet.
However, the person who informed me couldn't remember who was releasing it. I looked on as bags were emptied onto the wooden table and my mood got sadder. The final bookcrosser arrived and still no Sue Grafton on the table. People started talking about books left at the car park entrance when they arrived and maybe it was once of those. I started to think it was all a vicious rumour aimed to get my hopes up.
Just as all hope was lost, a paper bag was produced, intended for the book swap containing said book.
Am already 100 pages in. No doubt it will have been ravished by the end of today! THANK YOU!

The style was different to previous Graftons. There were flashbacks to the days leading up to Violets disappearance, as viewed by the many people in Violet's life. This got slightly confusing, particularly considering the number of men she was involved with. I think I need to flick back through it as the ending didn't seem quite right to me.
Much less Kinsey centric.

Passed to CaterinaAnna tonight. Will she manage to stay away from it for the weekend??

No, I didn't - and you knew that would be so!

I did spend all of Saturday morning sleeping and had meetings Saturday evening & most of Sunday, but somehow or other it is still finished already, so that's it, marathon over ... until T is published & starts doing the rounds!

I quite enjoyed the third person sections - gave you two chances to get each piece of information without leaving you knowing more than Kinsey for very long.

Reserved for dogsapples, and will get to her in the next-but-one batch of posting.

This finally got to the top of tbr. A change for Sue Grafton in style as she switches beteen two time zones to tell the story. I don't normally like that style but this one worked for me. There was a point about 1/3 of the way through when I was getting muddled and thought of popping out for some index cards of my own to write notes on! But despite this I really enjoyed this and look forward to her next book.

(I wonder what z will be - zenith? X will be a bit of a challenge too!)

I'll send this on to a suitable recipient or release it at one of the Bristol obczs soon in the mean time its available.

This arrived a couple of weeks ago in the middle of a turmoil... apologies for the belated JE and many thanks for agreeing to the swap :)

Your book is in the mail today...well, not quite THE book you requested, but another copy! I hope you enjoy it :)

Just started reading, having finished R yesterday. This series is addictive!

Journal Entry 13 by YowlYY on Wednesday, November 5, 2008
Is it just me or is Kinsey working more and more "very cold" cases in the last period? This one was excellent, though... it had all the elements to keep me reading and wondering what really had happened to Violet, and it's another 8 points from me.
I am ready for more now, but I will have first to look for a copy of T is for Trespass :)

Thanks for sharing!

This has been "rescued" a couple of weeks ago from Costa's, as it seemed it could have stayed there forever. I am trying to pass it on to another bookcrosser who has it on the wishlist (there are quite a few!) and if I am not successful it will be released in the wild again.
