Some interesting chocolate facts, and a cake recipe, I do wish the chocolate had figured more in the actual mystery, but this one was centered around Lee's mother's past. This is actually the only one of this series I've read so far, even though I've got a couple of the others, nothing like started at the end first, huh? ;)

Going to catsalive next from a mystery swap! Enjoy!

Thanks Shaunie.

Bride-to-be Lee McKinney has butted heads with her future mother-in-law over her upcoming wedding. The last thing she needs is trouble with her own mom, who doesn't even want to be at the wedding if it takes place in Warner Pier, her hometown... So Lee asks her Aunt Nettie at the chocolate shop for advice. There, the bride learns that years earlier, her mother fled on what would have been her own wedding day-hours before her fiancé was found dead. Now, to smooth things over, Lee must untangle a mystery older than she is.

Well, this is one series I won't be following. What an annoying, grit-your-teeth person Lee is. As for that speech impediment, ugh!, half of them weren't malapropisms, they were just ridiculous. The mystery wasn't much good either, too scrambled. I will take my chocolate elsewhere.

Not the best mystery I have ever read but not the worst. I have a couple more in the series on my shelf that I will get around to reading some day :)
