We have all heard the story of Cinderella, the beautiful child cast out to slave among the ashes. But what of her stepsisters, the homely pair exiled into ignominy by the fame of their lovely sibling? What fate befell those untouched by beauty...and what curses accompanied Cinderella's looks?
Another wonderful other-side-of-the-story tale by Maguire. Beautifully written with engaging characters, an engrossing storyline and arresting prose that all worked to keep me fully engaged in this one from cover-to-cover. I will certainly continue to read Maguire...his works are sure to become classics.
(This particular book was given to me by a non-bookcrossing friend, who graciously has allowed me to register it here in the hopes that a bookring will allow others to enjoy this wonderful fantasy, as well)

I liked this one! In fact, I think I liked it more than "Wicked". This book could make a great movie. Thanks for sharing it, Maurean! It will be off to the next reader this week.

why do all of the rays/rings arrive at once????Thisa is 3rd in line to be read.
liked wicked and son of a witch a lot more.This was very good,just not as good.The wicked stepmother was my favorite character as far as how they were portrayed.She seemed to fit the part quite well.This will be on the way to elizardbreath as soon as I get her addy.

I received this today. This looks like a great book--I can't wait to read it!
Just wanted to apologize to everyone for keeping this for so long. I have finally gotten moved and am 45 pages into this great book. I will finish it this weekend and get it moving on! :)
I will start reading it tonight!
I did like it, but too many things were going on and I just couldn't get into it as much as I would have liked to. It is a great story though.
