I found the book on a bridge in the centre of Wellington. I hadn't heard of bookcrossing.com so it was all a bit new to me!
I read the book and would describe it as a 1980s Bridgette Jones. The main character, Charlotte, works at an abortion clinic. She is divorced and childless and gets the opportunity to travel to a third world country to write a report about the charity work being done there, supposedly to help the women become more emancipated. A slightly bittersweet comedy, but not too heavy on the politics.

My husband and I have a Farmstay with overseas guests arriving now and then. I plan to either leave it in there room to take or hide it in the garden for someone to find. The only problem with the later is it might get eaten by the baby deer, so maybe I will keep it inside.
