Journal Entry 4 by Xanthe-pup from Cardiff, Wales United Kingdom on Sunday, November 12, 2006
I really enjoyed this book! In fact I couldn't put it down, and stayed up until about 2 am to finish it this morning.

This isn't my normal kind of book at all (not that I can easily quatify what is!), and I know nothing (and care even less) about the world of fashion. But it is totally captivating. Are people really allowed to behave that badly to their staff? Do these organisations really have so much money that any member of staff can charge just about anything without anyone raising an eyelid? Is eating anything at all, or weighing over 7 stone, really such a sin??

Wonderful read. I have PM'd gigrowertwo and am waiting for an address to pass this on. Thanks to Tregossip for sharing this book.

A really enjoyable book. I do not understand why the screenwriter for the film made the alterations to this story. The book works better than the film but both were well worth experiencing.

A great holiday read. I guess we have all worked with someone like Miranda.

Letter W, Authors Alphabet - CHALLENGE
This book was the letter W, on a challenge where the purpose was to read 27 books where the first letter of the author's surname was each of the alphabet. So Lauren Weisberger ->W

First of all I want to apologize of holding this book for so long, but during the begining of 2007 I had a lot of works to hand out and by the time I went to bed I to tired to read and end falling asleep on the first half of page.

Andrea has standed everything to keep a job that a million girls would die for... , until the moment, "The devil who wears Prada" says You remind me of myself when I was your age
This was an interesting book, but since I had already seen the film I thought I would already knew the story, but amazingly enough the film not only omites but also changes the story of the book.

It´s on it's way to LindyLouMac.

Journal Entry 19 by LindyLouMac from Tywyn, Wales United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 20, 2007
Arrived today, thanks Meeko14 for mailing on to me and Tregossip for letting me take part in another of your bookrays. I first became really aware of this title when the film was shown at the Roma film festival last October. I decided then that as my Italian is not yet good enough to really enjoy a film in Italian that I would read the book. It will be sometime before I get the chance to see the film in English, though it sounds like it is very different from the book reading Meeko14's review!
I will start this as soon as I have finished my current title.

Journal Entry 20 by LindyLouMac from Tywyn, Wales United Kingdom on Sunday, March 25, 2007
A fun read and I look forward to seeing the film. I think that Meryl Streep an excellent actress will make a very convincing Miranda Priestly!
Reading the previous journal entries I am curious as to what changes the screen writer has made.
Update 31/03/07:Still trying to make contact with Dr Maria. No response to pms so about to post ISO on the forum.

I thought that this was a pretty good book. I had the hardest time getting into the story and almost gave up on it. I'm glad that I made it through the whole book though. I'm not sure I would have been able to take all the crap Andrea took at this job. I don't think it would have been worth it in the end. I have amarania address and will ship it out tomorrow or Wednesday.

Journal Entry 25 by amarania on Saturday, September 22, 2007
I got the book in the mail today. I'll start reading it as soon as possible... quite appropriate since I'm looking for a new job, most likely as an Admin Assistant. :)

Received yesterday.
Thank you Tregossip for including me in the ring!!

Journal Entry 28 by acountkel from Charlotte, North Carolina USA on Saturday, December 1, 2007
If not for the title that peaks your interest, or for the humor and undeniably great insight on what it would be like to work for a debutante of the fashion world, this book held my interest from beginning to end. If you are looking for a deep literary read, this is definitely not for you. This is a light, funny read that I, quite frankly, could not put down. Having no knowledge of fashion, designers, or New York City for that matter, I felt like I had an education on the fast paced, cut throat and very competitive industry that most girls can only dream about participating in. I thought Weisberger showed immense talent in poking fun at this glamorous way of life and I thouroughly enjoyed it.

I have PM'd the next person.
Will send as soon as she responds.
Thank you tregossip for including me! I have already ordered another book by this author!!

I mailed this out December 3rd.
I hope it made it OK!!
