Cover blurb:
The trichinosis worm is one of nature's most revolting parasites. The things this tiny creature can do to a host body are better left unsaid. Luckily, these worms are rarely more than a few millimeters in length. But guess what? Now there's a subspecies that's thirty feet long...
When Nora and her research team arrived on the deserted tropical island, she was expecting a routine zoological expedition, but it didn't take her long to realize they're not alone. First they found the dead bodies. Now members of her own team are disappearing, and when they return, they've....changed. And is there any sane explanation for the lurid, perverse dreams she's been having? Indeed, there are other people on the island. But the real danger is something far worse.

Not a bad experience for my first successful Lee read. Kept me on edge. Quite gory and all the worm talk had me creeped out a lot. There was a big twist about 60 pages to the end, and at first I thought I would hate the rest, but stuck through and it turned out great. I have several other Edward Lee books in Mt. TBR, now I'm anxious to get around to reading them!
