This is such a great book. I've read it several times and was going to keep this copy in my permanent collection. However, I've once again outgrown my shelves, so now I'm sending it on its way as part of the Around the World challenge!

It was an interesting read about the courage, and strong mind needed to be gay fifty years ago. And about how denial can work for families, friends and even sexual partners to accomodate their own needs. For the main character, it seems, everything in life is ruined by (gay)sentimental issues, nothing else. And yet, she gets laid so easy!!! One would like to think that the world is more tolerant now, yet we all should work for that.
