5 out of 10

It's always interesting to find a new poetic form. This is a collection of word sonnets (poems of 14 lines where each line consists of only one word) in the original English and in Spanish translation. My favourite words are in English:

Hail
peppered
the
air

which in Spanish becomes:

El
granizo
condimentaba
el
aire

Now I don't actually speak Spanish, so i may be wrong here, but to me 'granizo' seems the ideal word for hail (it sounds like hail actually sounds!) and 'condimentaba' seems to add an extra layer of meaning to the words.

Overall, interesting to find this, but not sure I really see the point of this poetic form?

Well there's only one person to send this book to, and I will do that in due course!

RELEASE NOTES:

This was certainly an interesting experiment. I couldn't resist the temptation of adding my own versions of the translations in the case of a few words.

I will release it in the English Literature Department, where I hope it will be picked by someone with a taste for games like this.
