Journal Entry 1 by brideofmessiah from Hillsboro, Missouri USA on Monday, October 16, 2006
I purchased this from Lutheran Hour Ministries when I was working there. It was one of several books sent to them for review - once or twice a year they clear out their books, and this was one of them. I thought I'd like it, but it just doesn't seem like my kind of thing. I think Christian women out to stay home with their children, not hear how to "do it all". Releasing for Tick-Tock 2006. From the back of the book: "This humorous, yet compelling first-person look into the lives of two women explores the complexities of continually balancing marriage, work, parenting, and self in ways that our mothers and grandmothers could not have imagined. Written by two friends, both of whom have managed to remain married, actively raise young children and show up (usually on time_ for work, these stories will encourage and inspire other women to remain grounded in their lives and in their faith." Chapter titles include: "The Casserole Brigade," "Growing Up and Throwing Up," "Washing Angry Dishes," and "Sex and the Jiggle Factor." 2002 TPB 143pp To the finder of this book: Hello and congratulations!
