From the blurb: "On the wild Yorkshire coast, Maisie hopes to uncover the secret of the long-running feud between her mother and her recently deceased grandmother, Sybill. But the locals in the tiny village of Solgreve are hardly welcoming. It seems the only person interested in talking to her is the dark-eyed gypsy, Sacha.

In one of Sybill's old trunks Maisie finds a diary written by a young woman in the eighteenth century. Georgette eloped with her poet lover from London to Solgreve - and entered a gothic world of grave robbing and diablolical science.

Then Maisie starts seeing a figure that exudes unearthly evil outside her tiny cottage. Gradually she uncovers the terrifying dark secrets of Solgreve, secrets that contain an evil that threathens to claim her..."

This book didn't change my life or anything, but it's a nice, easy holiday read. I recommend Kim Wilkins to Anne Rice fans.

I'm not likely to read this one again any time soon, so I thought I'd send it out on bookring.

The Resurrectionists was a fantastic book. It was the best horror novel that I've read in a long time. It also had a bit of the gothic romance feeling - probably because of the setting ā€“ a cold windy piece of the English coastline ā€“ burr! The ending was written well too. Much of the time horror books fall apart at the end. This one didn't. It was quite the story and I found myself lost in Maise's and Georgette's stories from the beginning. The mix of modern day romantic problems and old fashioned gothic romance worked very well. Plus, the plot seemed plausible, at least while I was reading it!

Okay I tried reading this book, first of all it wasn't scary to me, it was rather dull. I read to chapter 15 it just dragged on way too much, and now I am completely bored with the book. I feel the author didn't try too hard. I guess it wasn't for me, I will pm the next person and get the book on it's way, thanks for sharing.
