Journal Entry 1 by mom2jwn from East Freedom, Pennsylvania USA on Thursday, October 12, 2006
It's a summer of sizzling heat in Charlotte where Dr Temperance Brennan, forensic anthropologist for the NC medical examiner, looks forward to her 1st vacation in years. A romantic vacation. She's almost out the door when the bones start appearing. A newborn's charred remains turn up in a woodstove. A small plane crashes in a NC cornfield on a sunny afternoon. Both pilot and passengers are burned beyond recognition. And what is the mysterious black substance covering the bodies? Most puzzling of all are the bones discovered at a remote farm outside Charlotte. The remains seem to be of animal origin, but Tempe is shocked when she gets them to the lab. Very good story, just had a hard time listening because the reader was irritating.

Received in the mail today! Thank you so much for offering this up on relay!! :) I will give this to my grandfather the next time I see him so that he can enjoy it. As a side note, I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to mail the audiobook I owe you. I have been writing exams for the past few days and things have been a bit hectic. I will mail it this weekend, after I finish exams! :) Thanks again!

Unfortunately this book is no more. One of the tapes got destroyed when my gramps was listening to it. Sorry little audiobook :( I'll mark this PC for lack of anything better to mark it.
