This arrived a week or two ago, but I didn't have time to journal it then. Wow, it took a long time to get here! Thanks irenic.

This was a little too preachy. The story hit me over the head with the message from the very beginning. It was pretty obvious. It was short, though and a super quick read. I've pmd the next person for her address.

It's here, it's here! This little book seems to be taking its time in its travels, LOL!
I'll put it to the top of Mt TBR and get it moving as quickly as I can :)
Thanks for sharing, cestmoi - thanks for posting it on, mellonhead.

I'll be back shortly with my thoughts....

After reading "Five People You Meet in Heaven", I was really looking forward to reading this but it just couldn't live up to my expectations I suppose! Like other books by Albom, this was a short, simple read. Sadly, I found myself not really caring about the characters, and Alboms tone did seem a bit in-your-face preachy at times. There was nothing subtle about its message - which, to me, was the beauty and the trick of "Five People".

I'm pleased I had a chance to read this, but I have the feeling that it won't stay long in my memory once I've posted it to the next reader!

I will be posting this off to Giz by the end of the week - than you, cestmoi, for organising this ring :)

ETA: Posted to Giz on 16/07 - safe travels, little book!

8 out of 10

I enjoyed this - a fast read too, always a bonus - although it didn't grab me the way 5 People did.

I will PM Ellymae now and make sure she still wants....I guess she will have got through HP7 by now lol

Received this in the mail today. I'll read it as soon as I finish up my current read. Although it is so small, I might just take it to the gym tonight and start it while I'm on the treadmill.

I'm not sure if EllyMae was supposed to be skipped. I'll e-mail her to find out.
**Updated** I talked to EllyMae and she has already read this one so I'll be sending this on to lauraloo29 when I'm done.

Finished reading today. Very quick read but a let down from Albom's other books.

Sending off to lauraloo29 as soon as I get confirmation that she still wants it & her addy.

*** Mailed to lauraloo29 on 8/24/07

Excellent book. I finished it in one day. :) This one will stew about in my head for a while. I think I liked it better than the Five People one. :)

cheesygiraffe asked to be skipped so this book is on its way home.

Home safe and sound. Thanks to everyone who participated.

I'm going to send this to my good friend ayngelnc in NC. I know she enjoys Albom's books and I think this will be no exception.

8 out of 10

My good friend, cestmoi, sent me this book. I was prepared with tissues ... I figured it would be a very weepy book. I was surprised that I wasn't moved at all. I enjoyed reading it but it really didn't 'touch' me like I thought it would.
