They call it Beast House. Tourists flock to see it, lured by its history of butchery and sadistic sexual enslavement. They enter, armed with cameras and camcorders, but many never return. The men are slaughtered quickly. The women have a far worse fate in store. But the worst part of the house is what lies beneath it. Behind the cellar door, down the creaky steps, waits a creature of pure evil. At night, when the house is dark and all is quiet…the beast comes out.

My 171st read of 2006.

After I finish a Laymon book, I always think that he can't get much more gross. But he does! This one was just gruesome. A quick read, and the action never stops. The ending was really creepy and really surprising.

Off to Dr. Sarra & Mr. Dee, who horrendously kept this away from all the other monsters in the Horror Swap. :)

Evil, I am, just evil. LOL, thanks DracuElly for the Laymon book, nice to know it's one of his grosser reads, those are my favorites. :)

Update 11/4/07: This book was quite a good read, and the ending was unexpected. It made me laugh and shudder all at the same time. I realized that I had two copies of this book on my shelf and I'd already read the other one, so when I found this one I offered it up on Bookmooch since I hate to be greedy. A lovely bookcrosser from Belgium expressed interest, so I'm hoping to get it moving again in a day or so.

It has been too long since my last Laymon read... so reading this one was such a pleasure. :-) I was also surprised by the ending... haha, eventhough the final conversation made me giggle.

I've registered this book again on bookmooch... maybe it'll end up with another bookcrosser or it might even draw in a new member. ;-)

I've received a request from Bookmoocher Xombie for this book... and it's on its way to Canada as of today. Enjoy! :-)
