This was quite good. So nice to read a recent suspense novel that does not lean towards The Da Vince Code.

7 out of 10

I've read the book during a Nilecruise in Egypt last week. It was a nice read with an intriguing plot with strange allies. Intrigue, murder and betrayal; Gabriel Alon has to face it all during his search for the murderer of his friend Benjamin Stern who was writing a book that would disturb the whole Roman Catholic world. It all started with the Wannsee conference in 1942 and it ends with the plot to murder the Pope. Gabriel is the only one who can prevent it, but will he be in time to find the murderer?
