From the back cover: "In order to spend more time with her four-year-old son, Clara Costello trades in her secure, well-paid job and two-seater sports car for a camper-van called Winnie, and sets off with Ned in search of adventure. Of course, her friends and family think she's gone mad. But when they arrive in Deaconsbridge in the Peak District, Clara and Ned become drawn into the lives of the locals. In particular there's Gabriel Liberty, a cranky widower who seems determined to alienate what little family he has, and Archie Merryman, a local dealer in second-hand furniture, who has family troubles of his own. Then Clara finds herself having to confront a dilemma much closer to home, and one she had hoped she would never have to face . . ."
This is the 2nd Erica James book I've read, and I wasn't disappointed with this book. I'm so glad that I've discovered this author. Her stories are easy to get into, and I enjoy reading about the English towns and villages ~ although there can be an element of romance and 'good for your soul' aspect to her writings she doesn't shy away from the trials & tribulations of the human character and the flaws within humanity. Her characters have some depth and struggle with the challenges of life as the novel unfolds. Life is not just painted as a rosy picture and her female heroines have strength and courage in many ways. I was able to finish reading this one in time to release it for the Tick Tock Challenge . . . so that someone else can enjoy!

The book was given to me by another GO Train rider in Toronto, Ontario who knew I read voraciously. I enjoyed the travel and Romance and find the author eminently readable. I shall leave it somewhere for another reader to discover.
